We meet with Nick and Charlie again. The boys are in love, they know each other quite well now and it seems that it may be time to explore this relationship in a different, more intimate way. But that's not the only thing on their minds now. For Nick it's also time to think about his future, to look at the universities and to decide what's best for him. Charlie will try to support him while working on his mental health and getting better himself. Of course, as all the previous volumes, this one was amazing well 🩵 The moment I got it it was impossible to resist and read it. And so I did 😂 Took me an hour or so to read it in one go 🙈 This story is just so wholesome, cozy and sweet that you just wanna read it over and over again 😅 The reason I love those books so much is how much knowledge the author has. She's able to show us how a good healthy relationship should look like. Not only romantic relationship, but relations in general. In many books for teenagers, you can fins all those toxic behaviors - when I reas them I seriously wonder how did someone allow those to be called books for teenagers. And then you have Heartstopper in which the relations between people are shown in such a brilliant way, shown so all those young people can see what healthy social life is all about. Because it's okay when your partner can't help you in solving a problem. It's okay, you can still be there for them, it will still comfort them and will show you that life isn't about helping people to find solutions. It's about supporting them and being there when they need you. And that's exactly what was shown here 🩵 Oh, also this book reminded me how stressful it was to choose the right path for myself 🙈 You know, all this choosing the right university and then major...This volume reminded me all the trouble I had to go through to be where I am today, but it did it in a good and nostalgic way. That's why sometimes it's really fun to read books for teenagers - you can look at it from the perspective of a person who's 'been there, done that' and laugh at yourself 😂 But what else is there that makes me love the series you ask! Well, the annotation at the beginning with trigger warnings. It's extremely important and I wish more publishers/authors did that in their books 🥹 What else? Importance of safe sex! Yes, indeed. No matter if it's between heterosexual or homosexual couple. Safety is mentioned here to remember about health and that's another huge plus of the books for young people who can learn quite a lot from books like those. At the end, we also have a sort of timeline thanks to which we know what happens when - in the comics and in the traditional books about Nick and Charlie. And last but not least, when you're finished with the story, at the very end, you can find many suggested websites about mental health and mental illnesses. Something that is extremely important in today's world, so I'm very very glad that it's there. It shows that some people really care about others and that teenagers shouldn't struggle alone and there's always someone willing to help them 🩵 I'm really glad that books like these exist and what more can I say...Just grab it and read it!
